Would you buy your next console if it was subsidized?
In the mobile/cell phone industry, phone purchases are often subsidized with a contractual agreement. That is, you either receive the phone for free or pay a reduced sum if you agree to maintain a service agreement for a specified number of years.
If with your next console purchase you were given the opportunity to purchase it on a contract basis, that is say you would agree to sign-up for two years of Xbox LIVE service at $10 a month and receive a Xbox 360 Arcade console for $75 or a Xbox 360 Elite for $175, would you?
Note: you could still purchase a Xbox 360 Arcade or Elite for the normal price, but would you purchase the console for a reduced price with a contract commitment?
